PURPOSE: To simply and certainly mount an ink ribbon cassette on the mounting stand of a printer regardless of an attaching and detaching system by providing a self-adhesive part for mounting and fixing the ink ribbon cassette on the lower surface of the housing for an ink ribbon.

CONSTITUTION: For example, an ink ribbon cassette 1 is constituted as a circulated and transfered endless type. A rotary receiving part 5 is arranged to the rear surface of the housing 8 of an ink ribbon 2. In this case, a plurality of mounting self-adhesive tapes 3, 4 are provided to the rear surfaces of the housing 8 as self-adhesive parts. The tapes 3, 4 are covered with release papers before use and the release papers are peeled at the time of use to expose the self-adhesive surfaces of the tapes. Thereafter, the rotary receiving part 5 is engaged with rotatory power supply part of a printer and the ribbon 2 is applied to the head of the printer and the housing 8 is pressed to the placing table of the printer to fix the cassette 1. A notch 9 is formed on the rear part of the lower surface of the cassette 1 in order to detach the cassette 1.
