Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an ink ribbon having excellent effect preventing weeping, raveling and meandering and showing extremely stable running mainly constituted by a modified cross-section fiber with a specific flatness degree comprising a thermoplastic synthetic fiber.
CONSTITUTION: An objective ink ribbon is constituted by using a modified cross- section fiber (pref., a multifilament yarn with 30W70 denier comprising monofilaments with 1W3 denier) with a flatness degree of 1.5 or more, pref., 1.7 or more calculated by formula [wherein (a) is the long diameter of a yarn cross- section and (b) is a short diameter thereof] comprising a thermoplastic synthetic fiber of polyamide, polyester, PP, PE, PVC or PVA as a warp yarn and/or a weft yarn.
