To provide an inkjet head which can eliminate pressure loss for discharging ink drops and can reduce driving voltage, and to provide a method for producing the same.
The inkjet head 11 is formed in such a manner that a piezoelectric member 15 and a frame member 13 are adhered to the surface of a substrate 12, and a cover member 14 is adhered to the edge parts of the frame member 13 and the edge parts of a plurality of walls 25 partitioning a plurality of pressure chambers 24 in the piezoelectric member 15. The cover part 14 has a plurality of nozzles 22 at the positions facing the plurality of pressure chamber 24 in the piezoelectric member 15 respectively. The cover member 14 is formed in such a manner that a PI (polyimide) film 42 is stuck on a metal foil 44 for reinforcement, and openings 46 exposing the nozzles 22 in the PI film 42 are formed in the metal foil 44.
