Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent staining of a recording medium due to ink ejected on a portion out of a printing region as much as possible.
SOLUTION: An ink absorber material 10 for absorbing ink is provided to a portion at a rear side of a recording medium in a region opposite to a moving path of a recording head 8. A plurality of through-holes 10a each being in an extent to collect the ink absorbed in the ink absorber material 10 by permeation are provided to regions A, B which are in the ends of the ink absorber material 10 in the widthwise direction of the recording medium.
