To provide an inkjet recording paper which has no smearing in a recording method using either one of a dye ink and a pigment ink, has a high printing density, is excellent in water resistance of the printed section, uniformity of the printed section, and coating suitability, and to reduce blank paper yellowing.
A supporting body, at least one layer of an ink accepting layer containing an amorphous silica, a cationic compound and an adhesive is provided for this inkjet recording paper. In the inkjet recording paper, the cationic compound has a second class amino group, and also, the adhesive contains a nonionic acrylic acid ester copolymer which is coated with a water-soluble polymer. Also, a die-fountain type coating device which coats a coating liquid for the formation of the ink accepting layer being jetted out from a die lip by pressurization onto the surface of a base material which runs by being supported by a backing roll is used for performing the coating by this manufacturing method for the inkjet recording paper.
