Title:
INNER WALL STRUCTURE OF MELTING FURNACE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06109372
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To accommodate for disadvantages of each of refractory materials to each other, thereby to improve a degree of cleanliness of the melted item and further a durability of a furnace body while realizing only its advantages by a method wherein an inner liner of different kinds of refractory materials is basically applied to the refractory material layer arranged inside the melting furnace.

CONSTITUTION: An inner liner of different kinds of refractory materials is applied to a layer of refractory materials installed inside a melting furnace. That is, more practically, a dry refractory material or a refractory material having a high anti thermal shock characteristic is used as an outside refractory material and further as an inner lining material, a wet inner liner or high thermal shock refractory material with a less reaction with molten metal is used. For example, in a high frequency induction furnace, an induction coil 1, a coil cement layer 3, a mica layer 5 and a plurality of stamp material layers 7 and 9 are arranged in sequence from its outside part to construct the furnace body. A molten metal leakage sensor 10 is buried in the furnace body. With such an arrangement as above, only each of disadvantages of each of the refractory materials is accommodated from each other and only each of advantages of each of the refractory materials is realized, thereby a degree of cleanliness of the molten material or a durability of the furnace body can be improved.
