Abstract:

PURPOSE: A composition having extremely improved impact strength at low temperature, especially drop-weight impact strength, improved rigidity and heat resistance, obtained by blending polypropylene resin with modified polyolefin resin, rubber-like substance and powdery inorganic filler.

CONSTITUTION: (A) 30W90pts.wt. total amount of modified polyolefin obtained by adding 0.01W5wt% unsaturated carboxylic acid or its anhydride to polypropylene resin is blended with (B) 5W50pts.wt. rubber substance and (C) 3W50pts.wt. powdery inorganic filler, to make ≥3wt% modified polyolefin resin in the composition. The addition of 0.01W5wt% based on the total amounts of the components A and B of organic nucleating agent (preferably p-tertiary butyl benzoate and its Al salt) is preferable.
