PURPOSE: To easily obtain a desired output characteristic not losing linearity even near the switching of a conversion rate by converting an input signal according to the conversion rate in response to the level state of the input signal.
CONSTITUTION: A level detection circuit 4, a decoder circuit 5 and a scaling circuit 6 are provided. With the input signal A given to the input conversion circuit, the level detection circuit 4 compares it with a setting value and outputs a level signal B representing the level state and the decoder circuit 5 outputs a conversion code C corresponding to the level signal B. The scaling circuit 6 converts the input signal A by the conversion rate according to the conversion code C to output an output signal D. Thus, the input signal is converted according to the conversion rate corresponding to the level of the input signal to prevent defect at an abnormal input.
