Abstract:
To provide an insert material for liquid phase diffusion welding and a liquid phase diffusion welding method that can further improve welding strength of an aluminum alloy containing silicon.SOLUTION: An insert material 100 of the present disclosure comprises a first outside layer 21, an inside layer 10, and a second outside layer 22, in this order. The first outside layer 21 and the second outside layer 22 contain metal or the like that eutectically reacts with aluminum. The inside layer 10 contains metal or the like with a smaller mass content ratio of silicon than at least one aluminum alloy out of a first aluminum member 210 and a second aluminum member 220. The inside layer 10 has a higher melting point than the first outside layer 21 and the second outside layer 22. The inside layer 10 reacts eutectically with the first outside layer 21 and the second outside layer 22. In a liquid phase diffusion welding method of the present disclosure, the insert material 100 is used in applying liquid phase diffusion welding to the first aluminum member 210 and the second aluminum member 220.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
