PURPOSE: To enhance the workability at the time of installation, and also to enhance the fixing reliability to stairs with reference to the installation method of a nonslip fitting for stairs.

CONSTITUTION: A nonslip fitting for stairs is made up of a metal base 1 to be fixed to a stair 5, and a nonslip material 2 to be stuck on the metal base 1. When a nonslip fitting for stairs is installed, and adhesive tape 4 for sticking the nonslip material 2 is supplied to an installation site in such a state that it has been previously stuck on the metal base 1, and first the nonslip fitting is fixed to the stair 5 in this state. Next, the protective sheet 3 of the adhesive tape 4 is peeled off, and then the nonslip material 2 is stuck on the adhesive tape 4. By sticking the adhesive tape 4 not at an installation site but at a factory where relatively strict manufacturing control can be enabled, the degreasing, cleaning, or the like of the adhering surface of the metal base 1 can be securely carried out, so that the adhesive strength of the adhesive tape 4 can be enhanced.
