PURPOSE: To raise the safeness and efficiency of jointing operations by a method in which single pipes are welded with each other to produce a large block in a large block manufacturing site provided on the upper part of an inclined shaft and lowered and set at an installation position.
CONSTITUTION: A single pipe 43 is lowered into an inclined shaft 2 by loosening the ropes 29 and 30 of winches 7 and 21, and stopped under the condition that the upper end of the pipe 43 is faced a large block manufacturing site 19. A wheel device is lowered from he outside operation platform 20, welded to the pipe 43, and placed on rails 3 in the inclined shaft 2. The next single pipe 44 is likewise lowered and welded with the pipe 43 by utilizing the inside operation platform provided in the pipe and the outside operation platform 20, and the single pipes are orderly welded one another to form a large block. The winch 21 is operated, the rope 30 is rewound, and the large block is contacted with a single pipe 42 already installed and connected.
