Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of menu selecting operation by displaying at least one menu in the layer below a specified layer that corresponds to the menu in the specified layer on display device together with the menu in the specified layer.
CONSTITUTION: Once a destination place setting process is performed, the head category stored in index data read out of the disk on an external storage device 18 is set as a 1st category based on the data on the name of this head category. A control part 24 drives and controls a display part 22 based on the respective category data on previously read head category and specific data stored on the disk on the device 18 to display a main menu including a 1st category menu 16d displaying the name of the 1st category on a display 22. Consequently, selecting operation for a menu, etc., in a specified layer can be omitted.
