Title:
INSULATION COATING TREATMENT OF ELECTRICAL STEEL SHEET
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6335746
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce an electrical steel sheet having less difference in electrical insulating characteristic and corrosion resistance between the surface and back faces by coating a treating liquid on both faces of an electrical steel sheet stock then cooling the sheet quickly at a prescribed temp. and conveying the sheet with table rolls having the surfaces constituted of elastic bodies.

CONSTITUTION: The treating liquid forming an org. film, etc., is coated by a treating liquid coating means 7 having roll coaters, etc., on both faces of the continuously traveling electrical steel sheet stock. The above-mentioned stock 2 is the passed through a baking furnace 8 such as hot stove and is baked, by which insulating films 3, 4 are formed on the surface and back faces. The resultant electrical steel sheet 1 is allowed to cool down to ≤350°C, more preferably ≤250°C sheet temp. and is then passed through the cooling means 9 to start the quick cooling after said temp. is attained. The quick cooling is preferably executed by water cooling and is more preferably executed by using ≤3wt% CrO3 soln. when the table rolls 6 in the furnace 8 consist of steel. The electrical steel sheet is thereafter conveyed by the table rolls 5 having the outside peripheral faces constituted of elastic bodies 51 such as synthetic rubber, by which the damage of the insulating films 3 on the back side is prevented. The steel sheet is then coiled on a coiling roll 10.
