Abstract:
To provide an agent of new action mechanism for preventing or treating lifestyle-related diseases.
It is found that an iron chelate agent can control invasion of macrophage into adipose tissue, and decrease production of inflammatory cytokine and active oxygen species from the macrophage; as a result, insulin resistance can be improved. Thereby the agent of new action mechanism for lifestyle-related diseases can be provided using the iron chelate agent.
