Abstract:

To solve the problem that an electric heater incorporated in an intake throttle valve for evaporating liquefied fuel adhered to the intake throttle valve has problems in cost increase and reliability.

This intake control device is equipped with: a tumble control valve 38 having a valve element 37 capable of throttling an intake port 12 between an injection hole 11a of an injection valve 11 arranged to face the intake port 12, and an intake valve 28 for opening and closing a downstream end of the intake port 12 facing a combustion chamber 14; and a tumble control valve drive motor 41 for switching the valve element 37 of the tumble control valve 38 between a fully closing position PC where the intake port 12 is throttled and a fully open position PO where the intake port 12 is fully open. The valve element 37 of the tumble control valve 38 includes an evaporation promoting face 37a facing the injection hole 11a of the fuel injection valve 11 at its fully closing position PC and having minute irregularities for promoting evaporation upon receiving fuel injected from the injection hole 11a of the fuel injection valve 11.
