Abstract:

PURPOSE: To carry out an optimum torque-down according to change in travel resistance in an integrated control device for an automatic transmission and engine whereby a smooth speed-change is performed by the torque-down of the engine at a specified speed-change.

CONSTITUTION: In an integrated control device for an automatic transmission and engine which is provided with a travel condition detecting means (a) for detecting the travel condition of a vehicle, a transmission control means (c) to control the speed-change of an automatic transmission (b), and a torque-down control means (f) to perform torque-down of an engine (e) by the operation of an engine control means (d) at a specified speed-change, a travel resistance detection means (g) for detecting travel resistance acting on the vehicle is provided, and a torque-down control means (f) is so constructed that torque-down amount can be changed according to the amount of the travel resistance.
