Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for internal combustion engine which precisely controls the fuel pressure and the amount of fuel injection from a fuel injection valve by focusing attention to the amount of fuel injection which affects the magnitude of an amplitude of the pulsation in a common rail of a fuel supply system, with the effects of pulsation of an actual fuel pressure being eliminated. SOLUTION: The controller for internal combustion engine has a reciprocating fuel pump which pressure-supplies injection fuel, a fuel pressure sensor which detects the fuel pressure, and the fuel injection valve which injects fuel. The fuel pump supplies fuel to the fuel injection valve via the common rail. The fuel pressure sensor detects the fuel pressure in the common rail. The controller has a fuel pressure input smoothing treatment means which performs a smoothing treatment for the detected fuel pressure with a weight corresponding to the amount of fuel injection injected from the fuel injection valve.
