Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively inhibit occurrence of knocking by a simple structure without an increase in weight of a piston.SOLUTION: An engine 1 includes: a cylinder block 3 formed with a cylinder bore 2; a cylinder head 4 connected to one end face in a cylinder axial direction of the cylinder block 3; and a piston 20 provided so as to be reciprocable in the cylinder bore 2 and defining a combustion chamber 6 between the cylinder head 4 and the piston. A combustion chamber expansion part 50 for expanding the combustion chamber 6 to an outer side in a radial direction is formed on at least one of the cylinder block 3 and the cylinder head 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
