The application software 10, which comprises character string resources displayed on a user interface 37 of a computer in correspondence with a plurality of localities, comprises an executable file 12, a plurality of character string resource files 18 prepared for different localities separately from the executable file 12, and a calling DLL file 13 for acquiring the locality of an OS of the computer and reading out the character string resource file 18 corresponding to the locality. The executable file 12 displays on the user interface 37 character strings acquired from the character string resource file 18 selected and read by the calling DLL file 13.
