Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secure Internet environment for a gateway device and a terminal.SOLUTION: An Internet connection authentication system includes an Internet connection device connected to the Internet, a gateway device that connects to the Internet connection device and provides Internet environment for a terminal connected to the own device, and a portable terminal that can connect to the gateway device by short-range radio and can communicate with the Internet connection device by mobile network. The Internet connection device accepts authentication requests from the gateway device and the portable terminal respectively, and if both authentication requests are within a predetermined time, authenticates connection of the gateway device to the Internet.
