PURPOSE: To make it possible to record inherent information at the time of generating an exception in the hardwares in a system and to improve the maintenability of the whole system.

CONSTITUTION: This interruption processing method consists of a setting procedure (a) for setting up common processing for extracting common information included in at least more than two kinds of exceptional events and setting up inherent processing inherent in hardware relating to each of the exceptional events concerned, an initializing processing means (b) for securing an exceptional information recording area for fetching the information obtained by the common processing and the inherent processing, initializing the secured area, saving and storing an interruption vector, and setting up an expanded interruption vector so that the generation of the exceptional events specified the common processing and a common processing procedure for executing the common processing and the inherent processing by the expanded interruption vector at the time of generating an interruption due to the exceptional event, transferring various obtained information to the exceptional information recording area and executing the exceptional processing based upon the original interruption vector.
