To provide a medical implement which simultaneously has physiological activity including high durability, antibacterial properties and surface wetting time lubricity irrespective of quality of a base material and to provide a method for manufacturing the simple medical implement which can simultaneously impart the physiological activity including the high durability, the antibacterial properties and the surface wetting time lubricity to a surface irrespective of the quality of the base material for constituting the medical implement.

The medical implement which simultaneously has the physiological activity, the antibacterial properties and the lubricity at the surface wetting time comprises a crosslinking film on the surface of the base material. In this implement, the crosslinking film is formed of a compound containing a polymer, a polymer of a vinyllactam compound and a compound having two or more active hydrogens, and a physiological activity substance and an antibacterial substance are bonded to the crosslinking film.
