Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the reliability and safety and to change easily the running path, by utilizing the picture processing technology and inducing an unattended car. CONSTITUTION:Image pickup devices P1-P4, Q1-Q4 taking each path as a photographing field are provided at a position almost equal to a running car in 4 longitudinal and lateral paths. A numeral specifying each running car is attached to four side faces of a running car A and at the lower side of this numeral, the symbol discriminating four sides is attached. Based on the video signal of the pickup picture of the running car, the distance of the running car from the image pickup device, the direction to the image pickup device are specified. Based on the information above, the control signal of start/stop and operation is given to each running car. The reliability and safety are improved and the change in the running path is done easily by inducing the unattended car in this way.
