To provide an inverter device that efficiently executes cooling of switching elements by promoting heat transfer from the switching elements to element contact parts.
A base member 40 includes a body 41 formed so as to cover the rear face 25 of a circuit board 20; each element contact part 43 in which an element contact face is provided on its surface; and a plurality of heat dissipating fins 46 erected on the rear face of the body 41 and on the rear face of each element contact part 43. The element contact face is arranged substantially in parallel with the circuit board 20, at a position apart from the surface 24 of the circuit board 20 with respect to the body 41. An element body 71 of each switching element 70 is arranged so as to be apart with respect to the surface 24 of the circuit board 20 and be in contact with the element contact face; and one or both of the height of the heat dissipating fins 46 from the rear face of each element contact part 43 and the thickness, in a direction orthogonal to the circuit board 20, of each element contact part 43 are set larger as compared to those of the body 41.
