The inverter device comprises an input terminal and an output terminal provided in a terminal block. A voltage applied to the input terminal is detected by a voltage detector 21, a current that flows through the output terminal is detected by a current detector 22 included in a control circuit 4, and a connection state X2 between the terminal and an external device is detected based on the voltage and current values. The control circuit 4 causes a required parameter generation module 31 to generate necessary parameter information Z1 according to an operation sequence from operation sequence information Y1 preassigned by the user and based on connection schedule information X1 between the terminal and the external device preassigned by the user, and causes a comparison module 32 to compare the information Z1 with control parameter information Z2 set and input by the user. When the information Z1 and the information Z2 do not agree, the control circuit 4 issues an alert.
