Title:
IONOGRAPHY PRINTING BY CONVERGED ION CURRENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0635274
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a device which guides ions by an image width system to the surface of a charge receptor.

CONSTITUTION: This ionography image printer includes an ion supplying source 53; a charge receptor 27; and an ion adhesion controller 100 which is effectively inserted between the ion supplying source and the charge receptor and is constituted to converge the ions released from the ion supplying source to the ion current of a prescribed sectional area and to displace the ion current to the prescribed position on the surface of the charge receptor. The ion current passes a relatively large opening 104 incidentally having a convergent pinching electrode 106 for converging the ion current down to a prescribed width and displacement electrodes 108, 110 for positioning the ion current converged in the opening 104. When the bias of the displacement electrodes is changed, the ion current is eventually scanned across the opening and a plurality of spots of the electrostatic charge region are adhered in the desired position on the surface of the receptor 27.
