Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable free control of an amount of oil fed to a bearing, by a method whrein an orifice and a check valve are situated in parallel to each other to a feed oil pipe between an oil pump and a bearing, and a bypass line through which the outlet of the oil pump and an oil tank are intercoupled by means of a ckeck valve is installed. CONSTITUTION:After lubricating oil fed through a feed oil line 1 is pressurized by each jack oil pump 3, it flows in a journal bearing 2 through a feed oil pipe 4 to jack up the journal part of a rotor 5. An orifice 6 and check valve 7 are inserted in parallel into the feed oil pipe 4. The outlet of the oil pump 3 is coupled through a bypass line 9 to an oil tank 10 by means of a check valve 8. During, for example, turning operation, the check valve 7 is closed, only an amount of oil discharged from the pump, passing through the orifice 6, is fed to a bearing 2, and with the check valve 8 opened, the other oil is returned to the oil tank 10 through the bypass line 9. This enables free adjustment of an amount of the oil to the bearing 2.
