Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems that it is necessary for a user to frequently switch a KANA input mode and an alphanumeric input mode in the case of inputting a text in which KANA mixed Chinese characters and English coexist in a KANA/Chinese character conversion type Japanese input system for inputting Japanese to an application program operating on a computer, that it is not possible for the user to clearly recognize which of the KANA mode and the alphanumeric mode is currently set in the case of trying to start to make a search by a Web browser, that although it is possible for the user to usually recognize which mode is currently set by looking at an input mode icon disposed at the lower right of the screen of the computer, his or her moving the line of sight to the lower right each time causes the deterioration of working efficiency and leads to a metal stress, and that the user often inputs the text without looking at the icon for making a determination.SOLUTION: A KANA/Chinese character conversion type Japanese input system includes an input mode switching detection part and a mode-categorized electronic sound source, and when the input mode is switched, an electronic sound unique to each mode is generated so that a user can recognize which mode is set.
