To provide a jet pump with improved pump efficiency for improving economical efficiency of a nuclear power plant and cooling material circulation flow rate.
This jet pump 27 is provided with a drive nozzle 35 injecting a drive fluid, a bell mouth 36 guiding the driven fluid involved in the drive fluid injected by the drive nozzle 35, a throat 37 mixing the drive fluid and driven fluid from the bell mouth 36, a diffuser 38 provide in a downstream side of the throat 37, and delivers the mixed fluid from the diffuser 38 to a core lower part plenum. The drive nozzle 35 has a gap H provided between a nozzle mouth thereof and the bell mouth 36. The throat 37 is provided with a tapered pipe part 45 having small expansion angles θt from the diffuser 38 at least in a downstream thereof.
