Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve a throughput while securing a turnaround by setting importance on the turnaround for a job with high priority of execution or on the throughput for a job with low priority.

CONSTITUTION: A schedule sorting indicator 8 sorts jobs in a queue connected to a queue terminal 1 by high priority and low priority of execution. A job queue control part 9 is called by an initiator 12 and a high-priority schedule part 10 is activated firstly to search the queue for a specified job from the queue terminal 1 and then pass it to the initiator 12. When there is not the specified job among turnaround-important jobs with the high priority, a low-priority schedule part 11 is activated. A resource utilization monitoring part 13 and a job characteristic data base 15 are utilized for the information material of the low-priority schedule part 11.
