Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce easily an Al base sintered member which is metallurgically securely joined by sintering green compact members of Al base or temporally sintered members in the state of holding the mutual joint surfaces of said members in contact with each other via a joint plate such as Cu plate.

CONSTITUTION: A joint plate consisting of a Cu plate, Cu alloy plate, Mg alloy plate or Zn plate is sandwiched between the mutual joint surfaces of an Al base green compact member and an Al base green compact member, an Al base temporally sintered member and an Al base temporally sintered member or the Al base green compact member and the Al base temporally sintered member and both members are sintered in this state. Then the two members are made into a sintered body and the joint plate reacts diffusibly with the joint surface of both members in the stage of sintering and forms an autectic at a low temp. into a liquid phase, by which the two sintered bodies are metallurgically and securely joined without variance.
