Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a low cost post/beam joint reinforcing structure which prevents effectively bearing breakdown of a reinforced concrete post and easy to manufacture in terms of a beam penetration type post/beam joint which allows a steel beam to penetrate the reinforced concrete post.
CONSTITUTION: Reinforcing bars, which comprise a pair of legs 3A and 3B and a base part which interconnects the legs, are vertically installed crosswise in such a fashion that they may stride over a steel beam 2 in a post/beam joint. Upper extended parts of the legs 3A and 3B are buried in the upper part reinforced concrete post 1 while lower extended parts are buried in the lower part of the reinforced pipe 1.
