To provide a joint structure of a column and a beam enabling the work only outside a column with a simplified structure without joining such a member as a diaphragm to the inside of the column or using any column/beam joint hardware with a special structure in the case of joining beams which are different in height to a column.
A beam joint member 13 comprises a body part 15 as an almost rectangular parallelepiped and a protrusion 17. A pair of protrusions 17 protruding in one of directions vertical to a width direction are disposed along the thickness direction of the body part 15 at both ends in the width direction of the main body 15. A circular-arc shaped concave surface part is formed in the neighborhood of the base of the protrusion 17 at the inner surface side of the protrusion 17. The beam joint member 13 is brought into contact with the top end of a flange part 11b whose side face is a beam 9b, and welded by a welding part. Also, the upper part of the protrusion 17 of the beam joint member 13 is welded to a column 5 by the welding part. Furthermore, the lower part of the protrusion 17 of the beam joint member 13 is welded to a diaphragm 3b by the welding part.
