PURPOSE: To easily obtain a wire pin having a long usable life, by a method wherein a wire pin is separated into a tip part and a holding part, a hard material is used for the tip part, which is integrated with the holding part by pressing it into an engaging part of the holding part or by pressure welding or welding.

CONSTITUTION: A wire pin construction in a printing head is separated into the tip part 12 and the holding part 13, a hard material, for example, an extra hard material is used for the tip part 12, while a different material is used for the holding part 13, that is, the holding part 13 is formed from a general machine structural steel material or an alloy steel material. To couple the tip part 12 and the holding part 13 to each other, the part 13 is provided with an engaging part (hole) 14 for engaging with the part 12, the tip part 12 is fixed by pressing it into the engaging part 14, or it is fixed by inserting it into the engaging part 14 followed by pressure welding. Accordingly, by forming the tip part 12 and the holding part 13 from different materials and fixing them by pressing-in or pressure welding, the tip of the wire pin can be obtained without conducting any heat treatment, and heat-treating steps can be unnecessitated.
