PURPOSE: To secure the conversion from kana(Japanese syllabary) into the Chinese character through the kana-Chinese character conversion device with a high efficiency and a reduced amount of the error by ensuring a free selection between the Chinese character designation system and the paragraph designation system.
CONSTITUTION: Either the Chinese designation system or the paragraph designation system is selected via input system selection switch 1. With supply of kana at input part 2, paragraph extraction part 4 extracts the paragraph via the special character. This paragraph information is changed into the proper Chinese characters and paragraph through the grammatical analysis at kana-Chinese character conversion control part 5 and via word dictionary collation circuit 6 and memory circuit 7 for display. For example, both "watashiwa"1 and "watashiwa"2 are delivered for "watashiwa" in the paragraph designation system. And in the Chinese character designation system, "watashiwa"2 is decided unfit and thus "watashiwa"2 is deliverd. In such way, the designation system can be selected freely to obtain the accurate input.
