Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a keyboard in which the power consumption of a control part is reduced at the time of key scan and/or key code transmission on a key matrix.
SOLUTION: After any one of a lot of keys arranged on a key matrix 2 is operated, when all the keys are maintained in non-operating state (key-off state) longer than prescribed time such as 5 seconds, for example, or when any one of a lot of keys arranged on the key matrix is operated (key-on) and that operating state (key-on state) is continued longer than prescribed time such as 60 seconds, for example, the operating mode of the keyboard is changed from an ordinary mode to a stop mode. At the time of change, the operation stop of a clock signal generation circuit 11 or the operation stop of a control part 4 including the generation of scan signal to the key matrix 2 is performed.
