Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a kinesitherapeutic device simplified in structure, small- sized, lightweight and manufacturable at a low cost by using one actuator both as load device and auxiliary force generator, which allows a physically handicapped person or aged person to naturally and smoothly continue a pedal rotating motion according to its own physical strength in kinesitherapy, whereby the recovery of kinetic function and the keeping of physical strength can be attained.
SOLUTION: This device comprises a drive part drivable by manual force, the actuator connected to the drive part through a power transmitting mechanism, and a control device for controlling the actuator so as to operate the actuator as the load device to the drive part and also as an auxiliary force device for imparting a kinetic auxiliary force.
