Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the subject controller designed to knit hosiery while controlling continuity of a pattern for legs and instep parts even if their sizes in the longer direction change and to enable to knit each small amount of many types (various kinds of sizes and styles) of hosiery with the identical pattern information much in demand in a short time without any skill.
CONSTITUTION: A drive 4 equipped with a knitting machine cylinder 1, needle selector 2 for size and style, needle selector 3 for pattern and an encoder 5 is connected to the knitting control means 6 for a hosiery knitting machine, a pattern controlling device 7 equipped with a pattern memory 8 is built in the knitting control means 6, a size-style controlling device 9 equipped with a size-style memory 10 is connected to this pattern controlling device 7, and hosiery provided with a pattern, its size and style are knitted through the knitting control means by controlling the knitting machine cylinder 1 using the drive 4.
