In this method for knitting a cylindrical knitted fabric, the improvement comprises forming a knitting stitch course, while a wale placed at an approximately middle position from the side end of one side knitted fabric is used as the starting point of a revolution knitting operation. The starting point is used as a knitting yarn-switching point for switching the knitting yarn, when a knitting fabric having a pattern accompanied by the switch of an arranged color, such as a stripe pattern or a check pattern, is knitted.
