To provide a small bundle bank bill handling apparatus which can shorten period for storing small bundle bank bills.
This apparatus has a bundle distribution section 80 which receives and conveys small bundle bank bills from a binding section 75 which binds predefined number of loose bills in an accumulated state together with a binding tape to use them as the small bundle bank bill, and a plurality of bundle storage sections 81-86 which receives the small bundle bank bills from the bundle distribution section 80 and store them. The bundle distribution section 80 can accumulate a plurality of budles of small bundle bank bills received from the binding section 75 and can pool them, and a plurality of bundles of small bundle bank bills pooled in the accumulated state can be delivered to the bundle storage sections 81-86.
