Title:
LABELING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6445240
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To simplify the structure of a machine by rotating a vacuum drum so that its outer surface slips on heat-sensitive labels until one vacuum passage becomes vacuum, a front edge of the heat-sensitive label is sucked by vacuum, and that the labels can be distributed at uniform spacing.

CONSTITUTION: In ordinary operation, each vacuum passage 22 of a station 50 is set vacuum, when a label 12 reaches the station 50, the front edge of the label 12 is taken up, and when it is affixed to a bottle 14 in a station 58, it is released from vacuum. If a gap exists in the row of the bottle 15 close to the station 58, then a command for spacing from a feed roller 42 is issued from a bottle-absence sensor 62 to a lift roll 46 to actuate a brake 30 and stop a web 26. In the station 50, the label 12 is not transferred to an external surface 20 of a vacuum drum 18.
