Abstract:
To provide a use of LARGE 2 as a laminin binding-type α-dystroglycan synthesis accelerating factor.
A laminin binding-type α-dystroglycan synthesis accelerating agent contains a polypeptide comprising (a) a polypeptide which comprises a specified amino acid sequence or (b) a polypeptide which comprises an amino acid sequence given by subjecting one or several amino acids in the specified amino acid sequence to deletion, substitution, or addition and induces glycosylation of α-dystroglycan and/or extracellular secretion of laminin binding-type α-dystroglycan by being introduced into a cell. The laminin binding-type α-dystroglycan synthesis accelerating agent containing the factor and a pharmaceutical composition are provided, respectively.
