Abstract:

To provide a LAN connection apparatus for enhancing the security of PC adopting the regular connection system to a network by disconnecting the PC from the network so as to protect them when the PCs utilize no network.

A lever switch 14 for turning ON/OFF any signal line or all signal lines configuring LAN cables 10, 20 is inserted between the LAN cables 10, 20 interconnecting a local area network (LAN) and LAN terminals of the personal computer (PC). Further, a function of automatically connecting the PC for three minutes to the LAN is provided to the PC when the PC is started and power is supplied to its timer from its USB terminal independently of a state of the lever switch 14.
