PURPOSE: To call a called subscriber by paging and reporting the condition to a calling subscriber to complete the call, when the called subscriber cannot respond due to absence in case of incoming to the land mobile radiotelephone.

CONSTITUTION: The call from a general subscriber's terminal A to a land mobile radiotelephone subscriber's terminal B is transmitted from a land mobile telephone base station BS0. When detecting it after a constant time that the terminal B does not respond, a central control device CC controls a subscriber number converter to convert the subscriber number of the called subscriber to a subscriber number of paging and transmits it from a base station BS1 for paging. Simultaneously, calling due to paging is reported to the calling subscriber A from an announce trunk ANT. The subscriber who is called by a paging terminal C returns to the car to respond. The device CC detects this respnse to connect subscribers A and B. If an absence switch is provided in the land mobile radiotelephone terminal, the central control device can be detects immediately that the terminal does not respond.
