Abstract:
The resonator (1) has a diverging lens (10) arranged between a laser-active solid medium (3) e.g. neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet crystal, and a wavelength conversion crystal (6) i.e. lithium triborate crystal. The lens includes a concavely curved lens surface (10a) for generating a frequency converted laser beam (9a). The lens and the crystal are arranged adjacent to a planar end mirror (8). Planar surfaces of the crystal and the lens include a reflective coating. The crystal is arranged in proximity of a planar boundary surface of the resonator.
