Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a laser diode, which is subjected to effect of a parasitic capacitance as little as possible and is contrived to make a high-frequency current to be applied act effectively.
CONSTITUTION: In a laser diode 1, to which a DC current ID for drive use and a high-frequency current IA for preventing the generation of a fluctuation in output are applied, the diode is formed into a constitution wherein a main electrode 11 for applying the current ID and a subelectrode 12 for applying the current IA are respectively provided independently of each other.
