Abstract:
PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for connecting a preceding material and a succeeding material, to shorten the material carrying stop time of an entry section and to reduce the equipment by supporting plural pieces of torches for laser irradiation at an equal interval and in one line and running them in the width direction of a carrying path in said state. CONSTITUTION:A torch 8 is moved in advance in the weld width direction against a torch 7 by a distance of 1/2 of weld width of a welding material 15 which has been given in advance. Thereafter, at the time of welding actually the welding material, a motor 18 is driven. In such a way, the torch 7 and the torch 8 can be moved simultaneously in the weld width direction of the welding material 15, while holding an interval of 1/2 width of the weld width. Accordingly, by two pieces of torches 7, 8, the width of 1/2 each can be welded with respect to the welding material 15, therefore, with respect to the weld width W of the welding material 15, the torch 7 and the torch 8 weld the weld parts of L2 and L3, respectively. As a result, the time required for welding can be shortened to 1/2.
