To provide a latch device superior in usability, applicable only by changing the length of one member, even if the depth of a drawer is different, with a simple structure, capable of largely constituting a door pull part (a latch lever) in the width direction, in the latch device of the drawer for locking the drawer on a cabinet body.

This latch device is composed of the latch lever rotatably held by a front plate and capable of vertically moving a front end part facing in a door pull, a latch bar freely rotatable under the latch lever, a locking member rotating together with the latch bar in left-right end parts of the latch bar, a locking object member arranged in the cabinet body in response to the locking member, an energizing means for energizing the latch bar so as to always lock the locking member, an upper operation piece vertically moving together with the latch lever, and an interlocking rod having the upper end held by the upper operation piece, having the lower end held by a lower operation piece for holding the latch bar and rotating the latch bar by the vertical movement of the latch lever.
