To provide a latch release operation device in which malfunction of a switch means can be prevented without impairing operability.

This is the latch release operation device provided with the switch means 10 which becomes ON state so as to release a latching state of a door when a push-button part 12 has been operated to be pushed down against a switch main body 11, a base member 20 in which the switch means 10 is retained via the switch main body 11 while the push-button part 12 is disposed to face a surface, and a key top member 30 arranged and installed at the base member 20 disposed to cover the push-button part 12 of the switch means 10, and in which the switch means 10 is mounted on the panel via the base member 20 while the push-button part 12 is disposed to be operable to be pushed down from outside of a panel through a key top member 30. Between the base member 20 and the key top member 30, energizing means 71, 72 are interposed in which the key top member 30 is energized in the direction separated from the push-button part 12 of the switch means 10.
