Abstract:
To provide a latex composition having both of the excellent compatibility to asphalt and the strong adhesive force to aggregate and to provide a method for producing the latex composition and to provide an asphalt composition and a cationic asphalt emulsion each using the latex composition.
The latex composition comprises (1) 100 mass parts (expressed in terms of solid content) of anionic latex mainly composed of (A) 55-99.99 mass% conjugated diene unit, (B) 0.01-5 mass% unsaturated carboxylic acid unit, (C) 0-44.99 mass% aromatic vinyl compound unit and (D) 0-40 mass% other unsaturated compound unit copolymerizable with these components, (2) 0.1-20 mass parts of nonionic surfactant and (3) 0.1-10 mass parts of cationic surfactant.
